The governing council of NSP confirmed a Newspaper advertisement indicating that Delta State would be holding Local Government Elections on Saturday 25th October, 2014. This date coincides with the stipulated departure of NSP delegates from the annual conference as earlier scheduled. Council also considered possible restriction of movements as from Friday 24th October till Sunday 26th October, 2014 and other possible post election violence with possibility of our members being caught in this web. 

Since security of members is paramount and considered priority in all situations, the NSP governing council has therefore deliberated on this development and concluded with the position that the 54th Annual conference dates be rescheduled to now take place between Sunday 2nd November, 2014 and Saturday 8th November, 2014.
