It is no news that we will be converging in the city of Abuja for our 42nd Annual General Meeting/Scientific Conference/Expo, and to commemorate the 50th Anniversary/Golden Jubilee of our dear association, the NOA, in 2018.

 

The news is that the Grand Finale of these events will hold between Wednesday, 27th and Saturday, 30th June 2018. This unique date is a product of conscientious and dedicated efforts to secure a befitting, spacious and strategically-located venue to host this once-in-a-generation event; such size as has never been seen before in our history. 

 

We appreciate the peculiar adjustments some members may have to make due to the uniqueness of this date, and we passionately appeal for their understanding to graciously accommodate the new date.

 

NOA@50 has on its menu a glamorous package that every dedicated Nigerian optometrist would give his/her all to have a taste of.  It offers us a platform to honour/appreciate our past, celebrate our laudable milestones, and envision our future together. 

 

This is an opportunity we cannot miss. For emphasis, NOA@100 will be in 2068—a time that though we will be alive and healthy, there is no current Nigerian optometrist that will be below 70 years then!
