The Nigerian Medical Association has debunked media reports making the rounds on its purported suspension of its industrial action.
Making their position known via the official twitter handle of the NMA, The NMA Said that "There have been speculation in the media about an unfounded report of @nmanigeria suspending the #NMAStrike, This report has not emanated from the leadership of @nmanigeria. Consultations are still ongoing and we shall report as soon as concluded.
The NMA Further stated that "Claims of cracks within the NMA is deceitful and an attempt to further mislead the Nigerian public, insisting that the NMA has been one and will remain so.
