As part of efforts to support the Nigerian health sector, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), recently donated an Elekta Linear Accelerator Radiotherapy Machine to the National Hospital in Abuja.
With the new machine, patients will now pay much less for treatment; and downtime at the centre resulting from routine equipment maintenance is now eliminated. The Linear Accelerator Radiotherapy Machine treats with precision and has reduced patients' treatment time from 16 minutes to two minutes.
This is one of the many ways NNPC and SNEPCo are supporting Nigeria's health sector.
