October 2013 Primary (FINALS) Fellowship Examinations

The October 2013 Fellowship Examinations of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS), in the Faculties of Anaesthesia, Dental Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Radiology and Surgery, will be held from 18th to 28th October, 2013. 

The Primary Examinations will hold on Friday 18th October I 2013 in Five Centres as follows: 

••.• University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan,Nigeria 
••.• National Centre for Women Development (NCWD), Abuja, Nigeria 
••.• Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Accra, Ghana 
••.• National Orthopaedic Hospital (NOH) Main Halll Enugu, Nigeria 
••.• Connaught Hospital, Freetown, Sierra Leone 

The Parts I &. II Examinations will hold from 21 it October 2013 in Two Centres namely: 

••••• University College Hospital (UCH ) Ibadan, Nigeria 
•••• Korle~Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) Accra, Ghana 

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates applying to sit the Primary Fellowship Examinations must be Medical Practitioners who are fully registered in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, or The Gambia. Candidates must submit their degree certificate and evidence of FULL registration with Medical and Dental Council of their countries . 

Candidates applying to sit the Part I Fellowship Examinations must have passed the Primary Examination of the West African College of Surgeons or its equivalent and satisfactorily completed appropriate years of postgraduate training as prescribed by the relevant WACS Faculty. Candidates are required to submit their logbooks duly certified by their training consultants . 

candidates applying to sit the Part II (Final) FeliowshipExaminations must have passed the Part I Fellowship Exami alions of the West African College of Surgeons and satisfactorily completed appropriate years of Postgraduate training as prescribed by the relevant WACS Faculty. Candidates are required to submit copies of their Thesis\Dissertations with the application forms. 

Candidates applying to sit O&G Part 11 Examinations must submit their Thesis\dissertatibns and Case Books separately bound in Navy Blue Colour before 1st July,201l. 

Candldates applying to sit Surgery Part II Examinations must submit their dissertations separately bound in spiral format before 1 st July, 2013. 

Candidates applying to sit Dental Surgery, Radiology and ORl Part II Examinations must submit a copy of their LogbooKs, Three copies of Approved proposal and Dissertations before the dosing date of applications. 

All part II candidates must Submit an evidence of attendance of Manuscript Writing workshop

EXAMINATION FEES

1) Primary Examination N40,000 
2) Part 1 Examination N60,000.00 
3) Part 11 (Final) Examination N100, 000.00

For candidates Sitting examinations in Accra, Ghana, payments should be made directly to ABRAHAM OKLETEY, WAPMC Liason office at UGMS, Korle bu, Accra, Ghana. 
    
THE COLLEGE SHALL BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENTS INTO WRONG ACCOUNTS. CASH PAYMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE. 

Candidates must Indicate their names in !he Teller column 'Paid By', candidates should Write their FaCUlty and Part Of the examination on the TELlER and SUbmit same with their examination application form to the college secretariat
