A. MBA - Minimum of 3 Semesters for Full Time, Minimum of 4 Semesters Part time

B. MBF, MPA, MTSc, MPP, MIR & HRM, MLTU - Minimum of 3 Semesters 

C. MPH, Minimum of 3 Semesters

D. LLM - Minimum of 3 Semesters - Part time, Minimum of 2 Semesters Full Time

 

. Ph.D. Programmes

Minimum of 6 Semesters

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A. Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

Applicants for admission into PGD of the University must be:

. Graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University or any other approved University

. Must posses Higher National Diploma at not less than lower credit level.

 

B. Masters Degree Programme

. M.Sc./M.Ed.(Academics)

Applicants shall normally posses not lower than Second class Honours Degree of the Olabisi Onabanjo University or any other approved University

. M.Sc. (Professional), MBA, MPA

Applicants shall normally posses not lower than Second Class Honours Degree of the Olabisi Onabanjo University or any other approved University or a Higher National Diploma at not less than Lower Credit Level with a Postgraduate Diploma in relevant fields.

 

C. Ph.D Programmes

Candidates shall normally have obtained a Masters Degree in the relevant Field with not less than a weighted average of 60% (B+ or a GPA of not less than 3.5  on a 5point scale or 2.8 on a 4point scale; Candidates must satisfy the first degree and Masters degree requirement before consideration for Ph.D. Candidates with Masters Degree with weighted average of less than 60% (B+) or a GPA less than 3.5 on a 5point scale or 2.8 on a 4 point scale are eligible for admission. Their candidature for either M.Phil or Ph.D shall however be determined on the basis of Performance after two semesters course work.

 

IN ADDITION TO THE STATED ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMMES ABOVE, ALL APPLICANTS ARE ADVISED TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS WHICH MUST BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE APPLYING.

 

1. ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

The University Matriculation requirements of individual Departments must be satisfied before a candidate can be considered for admission. For avoidance  of doubts all programmes in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy require credit passes in English language and Mathematics in addition to three other credit passes at WASCE/GCE O/L.

 

2. PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMES

Credit passes in English language at WASCE/GCE O/L is a compulsary requirement for admission for all categories of candidates. However, a candidate with Social sciences or Science background is expected to have credit pass in Mathematics in addition to other four credit passes.

 

3. POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA

All postgraduate Diploma candidates must have credit pass in English language in addition to four ohter credit passes

 

For admission into any of the programmes, possession of NYSC discharge or Exemption Certificate issued by the Directorate is complusary.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION

a. Applicants shall write or come in person for application forms with remittance of:

Ten thousand naira only (N10,000) or its foreign currency equivalent for applicants abroad.

 

B. Payment for the application forms shall be made through (POS) in: 

The Accountants Office, 

Postgraduate School, 

Ago-Iwoye

 

. Each application should be accompanied by two N50 stamped Self Addressed 41x30.5cm envelopes

. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation of all applications

. Applications without Transcripts will not be considered. Candidates are advised to forward their Transcripts seperately & directly in sealed envelopes to:

The Secretary,

Postgraduate School.

 

. Any candidate currently on a Postgraduate programme will atomatically forfeit his/her studentship under the existing University regulation unless there is evidence of Senates approval of withdrawal from initial programme.

 

CLOSING DATE

All compleated applications should reach the Secretary, Postgraduate School not later than Wednesday, 31st July, 2013 at 3.00p.m
