As I was surfing, I stumbled on your response to one of my  publications .I am a little busy now but let me hurriedly address some of the issues you raised. You said you are an administrative officer with one of the federal medical centers,I thank  God for that hence when your point is lopsided I can easily know where it is coming from. If a non-JOHESU has replied this way,I may be tempted to have a rethink. The law of nature  stipulates that every man will always fight in order to protect his primary interest.

 

Also,even if a non-JOHESU replies this way,I will still ask how informed is he?This is because any child that has not been to another barn always believes that his father's barn is the largest.The principle of natural justice says, let the other side be heard as it is enshrined in section 39 of our constitution.You raised many imprudent points but I think I owe you

that duty to correct you accordingly.

     

You made mention of Jim Young Kim,do you know that aside medicine and social medicine that his PhD was in Anthropology and that he was among the first enrollees of Harvard's Experimental PhD program in social sciences? What is the criterion for one to head the World Bank? For academic purposes,just know that certificates in social sciences or management sciences are not compulsory. My people die for lack of knowledge. 

 

Just know that America has enough vote in deciding who heads World Bank and if USA does not sponsor a particular aspirant,he is gone. Mind you, the requirement for the headship of World Bank is more on general life experience than knowledge in Economics and other management sciences. 

 

You may investigate my claims. Do you know that even our own CBN governorship does not have strict requirement hence Chukwuma Soludo was the first non-banker to occupy that post. Just like our own presidency,SSCE is the minimum requirement that is required,your tertiary certificate is an 'unnecessary ' addendum. There is no doubt that our Okonjo was more qualified than Young Kim but American voice was final.

    

In view of the above,neither USA nor NMA has erred in law. USA saw that Jim Young Kim would protect their interest,they backed him hence he won. The criterion for the headship of World Bank did not require Economics hence Kim is there today. Meanwhile ,the law governing our tertiary hospitals says that the CMD must not only be a medical doctor but also must be a consultant who must be a fellow of either national or west African postgraduate medical college. It means that even doctors called medical officers and resident doctors in our tertiary hospitals cannot vie for the post of CMD. 

 

We must follow the law but if you don't want it,make an arrangement to repeal the law, then you can come and head the hospitals as CMD.If the law says that if somebody is convicted of murder,the convict shall die,you will not change it because your relative is a convict and if you must,then find a way to repeal the law.

You made another point of why doctors will not allow career and professional health administrators to head the hospitals. Answer my following questions,why don't we allow people that read political sciences to practise politics in the country? Why are graduates of public administrators not the heads of all public places including our three tiers of government?Why can't we allow reverend sisters who later studied public administration or any social sciences to head the parishes?

 

Why can we not allow the professors of paralegal studies to head our courts?Also,you made another silly point of entry level for civil servants and the most annoying is that you went ahead to publish the data which was uncalled for.

 

Please, why are the governors and the local government chairmen not on the same salary levels,are they not the same politicians ?Also,it still bothers me why the members of the senate and the honourable members of the house of representatives will receive different salaries even when they entered the same time?Please visit any kid in the secondary school and ask him the Economists' view of  why the salaries and entry points of workers differ.

    

The height of the ignorance and show of shame was when you asked,'is the MBBS degree issued by UNN different and more qualitative than B.pharm,Bsc Nursing issued by the same university?' Well,I don't know how to respond to you about this but I can only ask you,is there any difference between B.pharm and Bsc microbiology?

 

Also,is there any difference between Bsc microbiology and HND science laboratory technology? It is very nauseating for one who knows an answer to ask silly questions so that when one is replied in a harsh way,it becomes a problem. You went ahead to illustrate where a doctor gave wrong prescription. 

 

In life ,there is aberration to any human endeavour. Do we now call all pastors fake because you once encountered a fake pastor?Mind you ,even in USA and other developed climes,there are  malpractices. Recently ,a doctor in Johns' Hopkins University Hospital committed suicide after it was discovered that the doctor had a camera he was using to snap the vagina of women during examinations. The management of the hospital issued an official statement that,'The future of the hospital will not be determined by an individual.
