REGISTRATION/PAYMENT AND CLEARANCE PROCEDURES FOR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES IN THE MEDICAL AND DENTAL COUNCIL OF NIGERIA ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION (OCTOBER 2016)

ONLINE REGISTRATION, PAYMENT AND CLEARANCE PROCEDURES FOR FORREIGN MEDICAL GRADUATES WHO RECENTLY PASSED THE COUNCIL’S ASSESSMENT EXAMINATION THAT TOOK PLACE AT AHMADU BELLO TEACHING HOSPITAL ZARIA FROM 5TH- 7TH OCTOBER 2016

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please read carefully the instructions posted below for the online registration, payment and clearance procedures.
All expatriate doctors are to obtain Temporary Registration after they have met the requirements on the temporary registrtion checklist. Please visit any of the Zonal offices for more information on temporary registration.
All successful candidates must update their records online, pay the required fees and be cleared before they can participate in the Induction Ceremony.
Payment can be done via the Remita portal while awaiting the email link from MDCN.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
All successful candidates will receive an email from [email protected] with a link.
As soon as you receive the email informing you of your log-in details, please click on the 2nd link or you copy and paste the link on a new web page.
A form comes out; choose a password and you automatically get into the webportal.
If you can’t open the 2nd link as indicated in no (2), please go to www.mdcn.gov.ng, click on sign-in and click on reset password and another email is sent to you.
When you get into the webportal, you would see your name, email and a passport corner. Click on your NAME to access the general registration form.
Click on “EDIT” button and fill the personal, education, registration and employment sections of the form as it applies to you.
Double click on the box beside your name to upload a recent colour passport-size photograph of yourself (size should be 45mm by 35mm)
Click on attachment at the top of your form, then click “add” to upload attachments if any.
Click on “SAVE” button to retain the changes.
Note that updating your profile is only done once except when you have to edit some information that might have changed over time.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES

All successful candidates should make payment for their provisional registration through the Remita portal as follows

Go to www.remita.net

Click on ‘Pay a Federal Government Agency’

Fill the form as follows:

Name of MDA (select) : Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

Name of Service/Purpose (select): Others

Amount to Pay (N) (type): N76, 000 (Seventy-six Thousand Naira Only)

Payer’s Full Name (type): Your full name

Payer’s Email (type): Your e-mail

Payer’s Phone (type): Your phone number

Description (type): Provisional registration for foreign medical graduates

Continue by following the screen information to proceed to payment

Afterwards a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number is generated automatically, with the different payment options of paying with your ATM card, Internet Banking or you print out the slip with the RRR nos and pay at any commercial bank.

Once your payment has been completed, you receive an automated generated receipt from remita to your email and phone.

CLEARANCE PROCEDURES

All successful candidates would have to undergo clearance before they are eligible to participate in the induction programme.
Clearance will commence from Monday 31st October 2016 to 3rd November 2016 at the Medical and Dental Council House: Plot 1102, Cadastral Zone B11, Off Oladipo Diya Road, Behind Prince and Princess Estate, Kaura District, Abuja
Documents needed for clearance are
Evidence of payment (remita receipt)
2 passport photograph
Completed online registration
All cleared candidates will be given three (3) invitation cards for the ceremony. One invitation card for the candidate and two other guest.
Only cleared candidates will be inducted.
