Position: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B 005) 
 
Location: Nigeria
 
Key Responsibilities 
• Obtain critical information and head to the response site as quickly as possible 
• Make quick decisions and react with reason 
• Prior to initiating patient care, assess the incident to determine what if any additional help or back up is necessary 
• Secure any patients and transport them to the relevant care facility. 
• The ability to drive a motorcycle, car and/or ambulance is an advantage 
 
 
Position: Paramedic (PARA-007) 
 
Key Responsibilities  
•  Staffing ambulances and other emergency vehicles 
•  Responding to emergency calls 
•  Aasessing patients, providing emergency treatment and making diagnoses 
•  Monitoring and administering medication, pain relief and intravenous infusions 
•  Dressing wounds/injuries 
•  Using specialist equipment including ventilators and defibrillators 
•  Reading ECG 
•  Transporting patients to hospital and continuing to provide treatment while in transit 
•  Providing hospital staff with patient information including condition and treatment 
•  Helping provide patient care in hospitals and other medical facilities 
•  CommunicatinQ effectively with patients and their relatives/friends 
•  Teachinq and training members of the public to use first aid techniques correctly 
 
Minimum Requirements 
• 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant experience preferred 
• Good command of both spoken and written English 
• Computer literate, with good command in Microsoft OffICe package (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Demonstrates inttiative, analytical and problem solving sllills 
• Good inlerper1IDnal and organization sKills, and the ability to function with minimum supervision 
• Must be physicaliy fit (for all ambulatory ro'es) 
 
Additional Requirements 
(preference will be given) 
• First aid and CPR certified (Any omer reQuired certification as stipulated by MOH). 
• Muitilingual, wHh the ability to converse In Yoruba Igbo. Hausa, Ibibio, French, Tiv, Pidgin, Ijaw. Kanuti, would be an added advantag<!.
