Jhpiego an affiliate of John Hopkins University is a global leader in improving healthcare services for women and their families. In collaboration with some partners like save the children foundation, pediatric association of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Neonatal medicine, Society of gyneacology and obstetrics of Nigeria, National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives will be implimenting a USAID funded global cooperative agreement called Maternaland Child Survival Program. The goal is to contribute significantly to ending preventable maternal and child deaths in Nigeria. The five year project which started in OCT 2014 end in Sept 2019 and will be implimented in Kogi and Ebonyi States. Jhpiego hereby invites applications from highly resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals for the underlisted positions:
 
. Service Improvement Facilitators SIF (Ebonyi- 3 positions, Kogi- 3 Positions)
The Service Improvement Facilitator will provide technical support for the implementation and monitoring of service delivery strategies and activities at the level of project supported health facilities (HF's). 
. S/He will work with the LGA health coordinator and managers and providers in the health facilities to ensure that the projects strategies for the delivery of high impact services are implemented. 
. In particular s/he will be responsible for continuos post training supervision, mentoring and on the job training to sevice providers. 
. S/he will be responsible for ensuring providers keep to standardsof practise and observe the use of service protocols and provide on the job training as needed. In collaboration with the state ministries of health (SMOH), LGA's and other MCSP staff and partners, the SIF will assist in defining critical training needs and organise in service training activities as needed. 
. The SIO will ensure commodity logistics management systems (CLMS) are in place and track regular supply of commodities and report stock outs in the assigned LGA Zones to minimise disruption of services
. Ensure timely submissions and accuracy of reports 
. S/he will contribute to writing of the quartaly report especialy in the area of quality assurance including identifying success stories and keeping a photographic and written record of field activity highlights
 
 
Post:
. A Nurse/Midwife
 
Required Qualifications, Knowlegde and skills
. 6-10 yrs of clinical/maternity practice experience including experience with teaching, perception, health management
. Demonstrated ability to be both a team player and to lead teams and to organise multiple and silmutaneous sets of activities
. Strong clinical skills and demonstrated supportive supervisory skills are needed
. Clear understanding of public health issues and challenges in Nigeria 
. Computer skills including Microsoft word, Excel and powerpoint are essential
. Ability to produce accurate reports and data on activities
. Excellent oral and written communication skills in english and a local language of the project will be an advantage
. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% time within the state is a requirement
