The TUC Rivers State supports the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) on the current strike action and requests that the management accede to the demands of the workers.
The State Council is aware that most of the issues in contention are issues that the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (INC) has given judgments in favour of JOHESU.

The council –in- session also cautioned the management of UPTH to desist from intimidating JOHESU with “No work or no pay” and focus on the amicable resolution of the issues in dispute.
