Uduaghan, Otumara Bag Pharmacists Highest Award

Pharmacists in Delta State under the Acronym of Nigeria Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists, NAHAP, have conferred the association’s highest Award on Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan and Health Commissioner, Dr. Joseph Otumara.
The hounor tagged “Excellence In Leadership Award” would be presented to the recipients at an elaborate ceremony in Asaba
This was disclosed when the association led by its chairman, Dr. Kingsley Amibor paid a courtesy visit to the Health Commissioner in his office in Asaba.
Amibor, who said the association decided to embark on the visit to appreciate the giant strides of the government in the health sector especially the award winning “Free Maternal and Free Under-Five Programmes.”
The association which listed employment of 40 additional pharmacists and interns, renovation/upgrading of existing pharmacies, inclusion of pharmacists on pilgrimage to the Holy Land and inclusion of Pharmacists on DELSUTH Board amongst others, were some of the requests they needed government to look into with a view to granting some if not all.
In his response, Otumara thanked the association for their show of maturity in handling of issues, also assured them of government preparedness to assist the association.
