Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Otukpo Campus.
A. Responsibilties:
The Provost shall be responsiblen to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Adriculture, Makudi for matters refated to effective administration of the Campus, induding academic programmes, staff, students, resources, bugees and relationship with the larger University Community and external bodies.
B. Desirable Qualities:
The Provost should be a medically qualified Professpr in keeping with the md requiremen of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
The Provost should be a strategic leader capable of managing a substatial complex, growing organization. Ideally, the candidates must come from an academic Medical setting with adequate administrative experience.
Educational Qualifications:
a. Candidate must possess MBBS/MBBCH/MD as basic Medical qualification or equivalent degree
b. Candidate must be a Professor of not less than 5 years post-Professorial experience.
c. Candidate must have a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College ot its equivalent in any of the Medical and Dental specialities/disciplines.
d. Candidates must be registered with the Medical and Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
e. Possession of a Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.

The Condition of Service is as defined in University of Agriculture, Makurdi Conditions of Serive and other Colleges of Medical Sciences in the Federal Universities of Nigeria.
