Positions

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Professor, Reader, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, Assistant Lecturer.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

PROFESSOR:

candidates should possess phD degree from a recognised institution in their areas of specialization plus twelve years of experience in teaching and research. They should be able to develop new programs, conduct research independently and have proven supervisory and administrative capabilities. They must show evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals both national and international

 

READER:

candidates should possess phD degree from a recognised institution in their areas of specialization plus ten years of experience in teaching and research. They should be able to develop new programs, conduct research independently and have proven supervisory and administrative capabilities. They must show evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals both national and international

 

LECTURER 1:

Candidates should have Ph.D degree plus three years post qualification experience and should demonstrate ability to carry out research in areas of experience. Masters degree holders with five years teaching/research experience and evidence of good record of publications in reputable journals are eligible.

 

LECTURER 11:

Candidates should possess masters degree in relevant field plus two years teaching/ research experience.

 

ASSISTANT LECTURER

Candidate should possess masters degree in relevant field plus at least one year experience.

CONDITION OF SERVICE

Successful candidates will be on probation for two years after which they may be confirmed to retirement age if their services are considered satisfactory.

 

Non Nigerians may be offered contract appointment for a period of three (3) years which may be renewed for another term plus a 25% contract addition payable to those who qualify in lieu of pension.
