The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has been notified that the Centre for Food safety CFS of Hong Kong, on 4^th June, 2017 issued an alert warning against sale and consumption of muji brand of fruit juice produced in Japan with code number :4547315816125and packaged in 10 pieces of 70 ml packs. The alert followed notification by Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore that the affected product had been found to contain bacteria and fungi as a result of improper preservation.

 

NAFDAC implores importers to ensure that they do not import the above products.

All outlets and consumers with these products should immediately stop their sale and use. Anybody that is in possession of the unwholesome product should submit it to the nearest NAFDAC office for appropriate action.
