The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Edo State branch, yesterday said 16, 000 child mortality are recorded on a daily basis while 6 million death occurred and
called for a holistic action to completely eradicate Polio, Measles and other vaccines preventable diseases in the sub region. Speaking at the 2015 Physicians’ Week organised by the Nigerian Medical Association in Benin City , Edo State branch chairman, Prof. Afekhide Omoti, said the Physicians’ Week offers medical doctors and dentists in Nigeria a special opportunity to have a critical appraisal of the medical profession and practice, the healthcare system and other important contemporary national and global issues.
