It is my honor to invite you to participate at the ICM 5th Regional Conference of the Americas to be hosted by the Suriname Organization of Midwives on July 15-17, 2015. The theme chosen “Invest in Healthy Pregnancy; Invest in Midwives” attest to our role as the primary professionals responsible in promoting healthy pregnancies, and thereby ensuring healthy mothers and babies.

 

This event will be a gathering of people who will share their knowledge, experiences, successes and challenges as we continue to improve the health status of mothers and babies in the region and elsewhere.

 

 

It is also an opportunity to renew collegiality and friendships, make new friends and share common visions and goals for the future of midwifery.

 

I encourage you to submit abstracts for presentations and to invite others to join and support our colleagues in Suriname. I look forward to our learning and enjoying together.
