The Role

 

ICN is recruiting for an exceptional Policy Analyst to join its Nursing and Health Policy Team.

 

Nursing and health policy focuses on the ICN strategic plan to advance global impact, membership empowerment and strategic leadership. The pillars of Professional Nursing Practice, the Socio-Economic Welfare of Nurses and Nursing Regulation are integral.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive analysis of policy issues by undertaking thorough literature reviews, formulating themes, engaging in discussions and consultations with stakeholders, and developing recommendations. She/he will also incorporate the processes of monitoring and evaluation into analysis and demonstrate an ability to produce reports and publications of a high caliber.

 

Whether it be improving clinical practice, advocating for the nursing profession, developing policy or influencing Governments and global institutions, you will be able to advance evidence, communicate effectively and work collaboratively to make a positive impact for the Nursing profession, patients and populations of the world.

The Candidate

 

The nursing role requires current registration with a recognized Nursing regulatory body, current membership in a national nurses association as well as relevant Master’s degree. You will be committed to improving access to and the quality of healthcare around the world and representing and advancing the Nursing profession. You will have relevant post graduate degree in nursing, public health, public policy or administration, or related field.

 

You will have an international experience and demonstrate a detailed understanding of the membership organisations’ systems and process related to policy and political decision making at an international level.

 

She/He will have experience in effectively translating research into policy, the ability to write reports, statements, etc in English, as well as delivering on work plans, project management, proven experience of efficient and effective collaboration with people with diverse backgrounds and membership engagement.

 

Excellent working proficiency in English is mandatory for this role and good working knowledge of French and Spanish is preferred

 

The Package
