Job Title: Director of Administration

To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • 1. A Bachelor’s Degree in either Hospital/Health Services Management or the Humanities/Social Sciences from a recognized university.
  • 2. At least 25 years post-qualification working experience in government establishments.
  • 3. Must have served at least 4 years at the level of Director in a government setting.
  • 4. Possession of a Master’s or Doctorate Degree (PhD) is an added advantage.
  • 5. Fellowship or Associate of the Institute of Health Services Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN) or equivalent professional certificate is desirable.
  • 6. Must be ICT compliant.
  • 7. Prior experience in hospital administration is an added advantage.
  • 8. Must be below 60 years of age at the time of appointment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Administration will report to the Chief Medical Director and will oversee the hospital's administrative functions. Key duties include:

  • Leading the administration department and coordinating support services.
  • Formulating, executing, and reviewing hospital policies.
  • Acting as Secretary to the Hospital Management Board.
  • Supervising recruitment, promotion, discipline, and staff welfare.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Board or Chief Medical Director.

Salary and benefits are in line with the Public Service Salary Structure applicable to this category of officers in federal institutions.

Appointment is until the mandatory retirement age of 60 years or 35 years of service, whichever comes first.
