We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Employment Type: Contract

 

Responsibilities

  • Clerking new patients for admission
  • Managing the outpatient department
  • Conducting thorough medical assessment and examination of patients; requesting ordered medical investigations for patients, collecting samples and following up with results of investigations
  • Attend daily ward rounds of patients and prescribe ordered medications following rounds
  • Prompt documentation of patients' medical records on the EMR
  • Preparing discharge reports for patients
  • Preparing other clinical documentation
  • Educating patients and families about their ongoing medical conditions and treatment
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Staying informed about advancements in medical practice and treatments
  • Adhering to medical protocols, standards and regulations
  • Other clinical tasks as assigned by the relevant authorities.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Medical Degree from an accredited institution
  • Working: 7-12 years (Required)
  • Valid license to practice as a medical Doctor
  • Proven experience working as a medical officer or in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in managing patients with chronic medical conditions independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and tools.
  • Candidates must reside within Lekki and environs
  • License/Certification: Medical Practitioner's license (Required).
