Job Title: Medical Officer in Charge (MO i/c)
Location: Lagos
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Position Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Officer in Charge to lead our Clinic.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the provision of excellent medical care to staff and guests, and upholding the highest standards of professional medical practice in a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general medical consultations, emergency care, and referrals as required.Supervise clinical staff and ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the clinic.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential medical records using electronic or paper systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical, legal, and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement health education initiatives and preventive care strategies for staff.
- Liaise with external healthcare providers, laboratories, and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in health and wellness programs, and support occupational health initiatives.
- Prepare periodic reports on clinic performance, patient care, and medical incidents.
Requirements
- MBBS Degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in general practice, emergency care, and workplace/occupational health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural, hospitality-driven environment.Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic healthcare reporting.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
Desirable Attributes:
- Postgraduate certification in Family Medicine, Public Health, Occupational Health, or related field is an added advantage. Experience working in a hotel, corporate, or private clinic environment.A calm and professional demeanor, especially under pressure.
- Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
