Job Title: Occupational Health Technician / ECG Technician

Job Summary:
- The Occupational Health Technician / ECG Technician will provide essential technical support within the occupational health department.
- The role involves performing routine medical checks, ECG testing, and health surveillance to assist in monitoring the health of employees in the workplace.
- You will work closely with Occupational Health team to ensure health compliance and deliver effective employee health management services.
Key Responsibilities
- ECG Testing: Perform and record electrocardiograms (ECGs) as per clinical protocols to assess heart conditions.
- Health Surveillance: Conduct routine health screenings, including but not limited to, lung function tests, audiometry, and vision testing.
- Clinical Support: Assist Occupational Health team during medical assessments and examinations.
- Health Assessments: Collect medical histories, vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.), and relevant information for health assessments.
- Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records of health assessments, test results, and occupational health data in compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
- Health Promotion: Engage in employee health and wellness programs, offering advice on maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Workplace Inspections: Support occupational health professionals in workplace assessments to identify potential health risks and hazards.
- Emergency Response: Assist in first aid and emergency medical response when necessary.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, preparing reports on occupational health matters as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- The job holder must have a B.Sc. Physiology
- 1 - 2 years cognate years’ experience as an ECG Technician / Occupational Health Technician
- The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self-discipline and excellent long-term concentration.
