ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Postgraduate Diploma {POD}:
- The criteria for admission into the PGD program will be as follows:
- All candidates MUST meet the matriculation requirements
- A candidate with at least third class degree in the relevant field from an approved /recognised university,
- HND holders with a minimum credit level pass from recognized institutions
Masters Programme
- The criteria for admission to the above programmes will be as follows:
- All candidates must meet the matriculation requirements
- Possess a relevant/ appropriate Bachelor's Degree in the candidate's area of application with at least second class honours (Lower Division) from an approved/recognized university, or COPA of at least 350/400 on a 5.00-point scale for appropriate faculties.
- Candidates with a PGD at credit level pass.
Masters/PhD Programme
All candidates must
- Meet matriculation requirements
- Possess a relevant/ appropriate Bachelor's Degree in the candidate's area of application with at least second-class honours (Lower Division) from an approved/recognized
- Possess a master's Degree with a CGPA of at least 3.20 on a 5.00-point Scale is applicable
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD}
All candidates must:
- Meet matriculation requirements
- Possess 0 relevant/appropriate bachelor's Degrees in the candidate's area of application with at least second-class honours (Lower Division} from an approved/recognized.
- Possess a master's Degree with o CGPRA of at least 350/ 400 on a 5.00-point scale as applicable
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Academic transcript of past qualification (BSc. PGD. MSc, etc}. Candidates are advised to write to the school where they graduated for a transcript immediately after they purchase and submit the form to avoid late submission of transcripts. Transcript, attached with transcript label, should be addressed to: The Dean, Postgraduate School, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State. Electronic or soft copy {versions) of transcripts should be mailed to [email protected]. Only transcripts sent by the appropriate authority ( Registrar / Secretary of Postgraduate School or designated officers) would be accepted.
Two referees, one of which must be an academic referee (Lecturer who taught the candidate In a former school, Project/ thesis Supervisor, Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, Candidates are required to fit in the email contacts of their referees in the course of the application and also inform such referees as they would be contacted via email and required to provide information online.
NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption/Exclusion Letter (Candidates awaiting NYSC Discharge certificate can apply, provided the certificate is ready at the time of registration)
PART-TIME
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes
- PGD programme shall run for a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters
Masters (MSc) Programmes.
Master programmes should run for a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semester
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programmes
Doctor of Philosophy programme shall be a minimum of eight semesters and a maximum of twelve semesters.
