  • You are an entrepreneur: someone who has managed salespeople and a distribution-based business with an end-to-end understanding of point-of-sale recruitment, incentives and retention, marketing, and brand value.
  • You have ran Programs and love the Program cycle and you understand the benefits of structured Program
  • implementation.

  • You think on your feet, and you recognize the problems in the job that can sometimes deviate from plan, and are always able to quickly move to Plan B.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in a Healthcare-related field, International Development, Social Sciences, or Public Administration
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in program management, preferably in healthcare/development sector.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects and grant compliance will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to align high-level vision with on-the-ground execution.
  • Strong negotiation and representation skills with diverse partners.
  • Comfortable working in complex, changing environments.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders in local languages.

 

Job Responsibilities

Program Management:

  • Oversee all program activities, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and achievement of targets.
  • Monitor progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively troubleshoot challenges, and adjust strategies to optimize results.
  • Ensure full compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
  • Integrate data analytics and learning into program management to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

 

Strategic Alignment:

  • Translate global objectives into actionable country-specific workplans and budgets.
  • Develop and execute country-level strategies in alignment with global goals and priorities.
  • Lead program design processes, including conducting needs assessments, developing theories of change, and establishing impact measurement frameworks.
  • Identify and escalate local risks and opportunities to the Global Program Manager for timely strategic adjustments.

 

Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Supervise and support in-country Program Implementation Leads, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and accountability across teams.
  • Ensure all staff and partners are trained on program methodologies, standards, and organizational values.
  • Serve as a secondary liaison to external stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, and other partners, after global leadership engagement.
  • Collaborate with policy teams to support advocacy efforts and influence local policies aligned with organizational priorities.

 

Compliance & Operational / Financial Oversight:

  • Ensure program activities comply with donor expectations, organizational standards, and legal requirements.
  • Contribute accurate data and analysis to organizational and donor reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Manage and monitor program budgets to ensure efficient use of resources and financial stewardship.
  • Support business development and fundraising efforts by contributing to proposal development and donor reporting.
