We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Olusosun, Ojota - Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Department: Pharmacy

Reports to: Pharmacy Manager

Hour Requirement: Monday - Friday (9am – 9pm); Alternate Saturday: 9 am to 9pm; and Sunday 2pm to 8pm

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician maintains pharmacy inventory by tracking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts and removing outdated drugs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Process prescriptions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all information.
  • Ensure medication availability by disbursing and ensuring the coordinated delivery of medications to patients/customers.
  • Manage the pharmacy inventory, anticipating needed medications and supplies in line with Just-In-Time Inventory management practices (JIT)
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates should possess an HND in Pharmaceutical Technology
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in community pharmacy
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician certification program or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Conversant with code of ethics of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
  • Knowledge of pharmacy terminologies, calculations, and procedures.
  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude that requires minimal supervision
  • Fluent English with excellent writing, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Works effectively as a team member and promotes collaboration
  • Appreciation for the importance of Pharmacovigilance compliance in pharma industry
  • Multi-tasker and have the ability to work under pressure with little supervision.
  • Computer literate.

Salary

N70,000 - N90,000 / Month.
