Within a few years the hospital expanded its scope of services and has become a leading private multispecialty hospital. Cedarcrest Hospitals Ltd currently has four hospitals located in Abuja, Lagos, Kainji and Jebba having over one hundred (100) bed capacity without patient camps in several other cities across Nigeria. Our services and facilities span several specialities and include emergency / trauma centre, radiology diagnostic centre, prosthetic manufacturing plant, oxygen manufacturing plant, modular surgical operating theatres, gastrointestinal endoscopy suite and several other facilities that make for a modern multispecialty hospital.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Role

  • The Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of the Head of Pharmacy will be responsible for handling patients’ drug dispensation while maintaining pharmacy safety protocols and documenting all dispensed items in the pharmacy systems.
  • The incumbent will collaborate with other Pharmacy staff with all enthusiasm and loyalty.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Assist the Pharmacist in the preparation of and distribution of medications
  • Maintain Pharmacy Records in a manner that conforms with the laws and regulations of the hospital as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Receiving and verifying patient’s prescriptions
  • Ensuring availability of drugs by keeping track records pharmacy stock
  • Ensure confirmation of payment before drugs dispensation
  • Provide assistance in various functions of the Pharmacy
  • Proficiency in performing pharmacy inventory.

Hierarchy:

This role reports to the Head of Pharmacy(and or Hospital Manager)

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

  • ND / HND in Pharmacy Technology
  • Current Annual Practicing License
  • Good Team Player
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • 2+ years proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Computer knowledge is mandatory
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of NHIS/HMO process

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a large team
  • Able to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
