Erkang Pharmaceuticals is a multinational manufacturer of pharmaceutical products starting up in Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria. Erkang Pharmaceutical is one of the largest manufacturers of Large Volume Parenterals (Infusion) and other products in the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Pharmacist

Location: Ilorin, Kwara

Job Summary  

The Production Pharmacist in ourLarge Volume Parenteral (LVP) pharmaceutical company is responsible for managing the safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of intravenous fluids, infusions.

This role demands strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and aseptic processing standards to ensure sterile product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities, including batch manufacturing, sterilization, filling, and packaging.
  • Aseptic Processing: Ensure all LVP manufacturing processes adhere strictly to sterile environment guidelines.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with NAFDAC regulations, cGMP, and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Batch Documentation: Prepare, review, and approve Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Batch Packaging Records (BPRs) for accuracy.
  • Quality Control & Deviations: Investigate production deviations, discrepancies, or complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Equipment Management: Coordinate the calibration, validation, and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Staff Training: Train, supervise, and motivate production staff to adhere to safety, hygiene, and SOP standards.
  • Materials Handling: Manage materials from the warehouse to ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports, including KPIs and yield records.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Experience: Miniimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical industry (especially within liquid lines/sterile manufacturing).
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
