Job Summary
- The Program Assistant will play a key role in supporting the implementation and coordination of the Nurse Leadership Program, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing leadership skills and capacity among nurses in Nigeria.
- The Program Assistant will work closely with the program team, stakeholders, and participants to ensure the smooth delivery and success of the program.
Key Responsibilities
Program Support:
- Assist in organizing and coordinating program activities, workshops, training sessions, and events related to the Nurse Leadership Program.
- Support program logistics, including venue arrangements, participant registrations, materials preparation, and coordination of guest speakers.
- Contribute to the development of program content, presentations, and resource materials under the guidance of program mentors.
Participant Engagement:
- Assist in communicating with program participants, stakeholders, and partners to provide information, updates, and support throughout the program duration.
- Support participant recruitment efforts, including outreach, promotion, and engagement strategies to attract qualified candidates for the program.
- Collect feedback, evaluations, and testimonials from program participants to assess program impact and inform continuous improvement.
Administrative Tasks:
- Provide general administrative support to the program team, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and maintaining program records and databases.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and follow-up communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Help in organizing and documenting program meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including taking minutes and preparing reports
Learning and Development:
- Engage in professional development opportunities, including training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs.
- Gain hands-on experience in project management, program coordination, healthcare administration, and leadership skills development within the nursing context.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects to contribute ideas, insights, and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program coordination, administration, or project management, preferably in healthcare or NGO settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, nursing education, and leadership development is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, government agencies, and community partners.
- Commitment to promoting quality healthcare, capacity building, and professional development among nurses in Nigeria.
