Job Description
- The Program/Grant Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of grant-funded programs within an organization. This includes developing and managing budgets, coordinating with staff and volunteers, and ensuring that programs meet the needs of the target beneficiaries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets for grant-funded programs
- Coordinate with staff and volunteers to plan and implement programs
- Ensure that programs meet the needs of the target beneficiaries
- Track program progress and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare reports on program activities and outcomes
- Represent the program to stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the public
- Stay up-to-date on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices
- Identify and secure new grant funding opportunities
- Manage the grant application process
- Negotiate grant terms and conditions
- Monitor grantee performance
- Conducting needs assessments and developing program proposals
- Fundraising for program activities
- Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes
- Writing reports and presentations
- Representing the program at conferences and events
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- The specific responsibilities of a Program/Grant Manager will vary depending on the size and scope of the organization, the nature of the program, and the experience of the manager. However, all Program/Grant Managers play a vital role in ensuring that the grant-funded programs of their organization are effective and impactful.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degrees in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Public Health, Education)
- 3+ years of experience in program management or a related field
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with grant writing and management.
