Program Manager Vacancy at the Public Health Social Enterprise

Our establishment is a Non-Profit Organization focused on promoting individual and public health by addressing environmental and social determinants of health, through partnership, advocacy and community engagement. The organization came into being in 2018 as Incorporated Trustees of reputable Nigerians of diverse expertise interested in complementing government efforts to stem the rising burden of non-communicable and other diseases. Since inception, we have been strategically positioning the organization to be responsive to our vision and mission and are now desirous of recruiting highly motivated individuals, who are passionate about nurturing start-ups to fill the followings position:

Positions: Program Manager 

Location: Abuja 

Reporting: Chief Technical Advisor (CTA)

The role: The general role of the programme manager is to lead the development and effective implementation of all programmes. The position requires a self-motivated individual who is innovative, able to multi-task and comfortable working with little or no supervision.

Specific responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Design innovative programmes in line with the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the organization, including budgeting and other logistics;
  • Improve already existing programmes for greater impact;
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of other staff towards attainment of organization’s objectives and set goals;
  • Identify and coordinate advocacy initiatives to relevant stakeholder constituencies;
  • Identify potential avenues and participate in resource mobilization efforts;
  • Lead periodic evaluation of programmes and produce standard reports for dissemination in appropriate channels;
  • Represent the organization at meetings and other engagements as needed;
  • Produce technical documents for use by the CTA/senior officers for meetings and other engagements, including briefs for advocacy;
  • Monitor information on the website and review social media content before posting;
  • Any other duties assigned by the CTA.

Qualifications/Skills 

The prospective candidate should be passionate about public health, self-motivated, innovative, comfortable working with little or no supervision and desirous of being part of the pioneer team of a great organization.

Specific qualifications/skills required include:

  • Degree in Public Health or related fields, with minimum of 5 years experience in public health programming;
  • Great inter-personal and organizational skills;
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Ability to multitask and work productively under pressure;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point);
  • Ability to use social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram;
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Salary: Negotiable
