About the Role
- TSCF currently seeks a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to lead its operations and ensure the effective delivery of our strategic objectives.
- This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a growing organization and shape impactful community-based programs.
- The Program Manager is responsible and accountable for leading the development and effective implementation of TSCF’s strategic plan and annual scopes of work, ensuring high quality performance.
- The Program Manager will set the strategic direction of TSCF and together with the TSCF Board, strengthen TSCF as a growing organization, in need of guidelines and policies.
- (S)he will maintain oversight of day-to-day financial processes and ensure compliance with TSCF and MiracleFeet finance standards; manage and optimize TSCF’s relationships with key partners and promote the organization and its mission to local partners and authorities. (S)he takes responsibility for ensuring that TSCF meets its programmatic, operational and financial goals.
- (S)he promotes TSCF’s vision and strategic plan to external stakeholders, including developing effective relations with other organizations, representing TSCF to partners, local and national government, as well as in-country media, donor agencies and local communities to influence the country’s development agenda towards inclusion of clubfoot treatment in the national health system.
- The Program Manager will report directly to the TSCF Executive Director and works very closely with MiracleFeet West and Central Africa (WCA) regional team.
Essential Functions
Program development and implementation:
- Ensure that the clubfoot program is implemented in keeping with TSCF’s core values and in line with the RunFree2030 Global Strategy as well as in accordance to TSCF’s internal policies.
- Guide team members in their day-to-day work and escalating challenges to the Executive Director.
- Support the leadership team in long-term planning, risk management, and organizational development.
Program monitoring and evaluation:
- Monitor program activities through regular communication with clinics, including oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and submission of high-quality donor reports.
- Oversee financial management to ensure adherence to established budgets, compliance with all relevant regulations, and accountability standards to donors, in alignment with reported program activities and plans.
- Assist the leadership team in data-driven decision making through analysis and interpretation of program outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external parties to facilitate knowledge-exchange learnings across teams to promote learning among partners and clubfoot champions in Nigeria.
- Participate in the advancement of organization-wide initiatives, including working groups or task forces.
- Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for TSCF staff and stakeholders.
Technical Oversight and Monitoring:
- Collaborate with the Miraclefeet teams (programs, technical, products/M&E, finance and admin) to develop work plans and monitoring plans that ensure growth, quality, and sustainability of programs in compliance to the approved annual budgets.
- Work closely with local partners to develop plans to further improve quality of treatment as well as outreach, identification and referral processes, and treatment compliance.
- Support the Lead Technical Advisor and other medical champions to provide technical support to clinics to strengthen early identification and referral processes, further improve treatment quality and compliance, and to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
- Coordinate with team members to prepare regular program updates for donor, staff meetings, annual reports, the website, and other forms of donor communication.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have a Graduate Degree in Public Health, Social Development, International Development, Child Development, or other related field. Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 7+ years of professional experience with NGO/nonprofit administration, program management, or related roles of which at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated experience in project implementation, monitoring, reporting, and team coordination.
- Interest in areas such as maternal and child health, special needs education, or disability inclusion is highly desirable.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Passionate about working with marginalized communities and advancing child health and rights.
- Significant experience in strategic planning, capacity building, and organizational development.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one local language.
- Sound knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and compliance.
- Experience in grant writing and donor communication.
- Understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and impact assessment.
- Leadership capabilities with a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent people management skills; Proven experience in building and managing effective partnerships
- Innovative, strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
