The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) has recalled their members from strike to enable them attend to emergencies occasioned by the crisis in the state.
This followed the concern expressed by the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in the state, yesterday, over the increasing cases in hospitals’ emergency wards and mortuaries due to attacks and killings in various Plateau communities.
The state chairman of NMA, Dr. Innocent Emmanuel, and the Secretary, Dr. Bapiga’an William, lamented the security situation in the state, adding: “The Plateau branch of NMA is saddened by the persistent vicious acts of ravaging the society and exerting a great toll on the physical and psychological wellbeing of the masses across the state.”
