Job Title: Senior Registrar - Family Physician

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Employee’s Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Service Delivery:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients, offering clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions.
  • Take on supervisory responsibilities, overseeing junior doctors and medical students in the delivery of care.
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and on-call duties, ensuring continuity of care for all patients.
  • Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams, coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in clinical research projects, contributing to the improvement of patient care and medical knowledge.
  • Take part in clinical audits, peer reviews, and case presentations to enhance professional development and clinical governance.
  • Participate in clinical teaching and training activities for junior doctors and medical students.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Uphold professional standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide support in policy-making and contribute to the development of protocols that enhance patient care and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • The job holder must have a license to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
  • He or She must have the primaries qualification in Family Medicine.
  • 2-3 years cognate years’ experience as a Family Medicine Registrar.
  • Knowledge of Family Medicine and other areas of medical practice such as Pediatrics & Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and so on.
  • The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self-discipline and excellent long-term concentration.
