Job Title: Superintendent Pharmacist

Location: Egbeda, Lagos

Role Description

  • This is a full-time, on-site role located in Egbeda, Lagos for a Superintendent Pharmacist.
  • Assume overall accountability for managing the retail pharmacy, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a customer-centric environment.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care and guidance to customers, offering expert advice on medications, dosage, and health-related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) standards, and maintain records accordingly.
  • Manage inventory levels, procurement, storage, and dispensation of pharmaceutical products, maintaining optimum stock levels.
  • Train and supervise pharmacy staff to guarantee proficient and customer-focused service delivery.
  • Day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, overseeing the dispensing of medication, supervising the work of sales assistants and other pharmacists, and liaising with healthcare professionals and customers.
  • Provide excellent advice and support on health-related matters to customers, patients, and other staff members.
  • Other roles that emerge within the accountabilities of a Superintendent Pharmacist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Registered Pharmacist, with a valid license to practice from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN)
  • At least 3 years of experience practicing as a pharmacist, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, including knowledge of the PCN's guidelines, rules and regulations, and Code of Conduct for pharmacists
  • Demonstrated expertise in dispensing medication, counseling patients, and handling inventory within a pharmacy setting
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of pharmacists and other support staff
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a proven ability to provide advice and support on health-related matters to customers, patients, and colleagues
  • A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines.
