Shock Twist in Registrar’s Death: Suicide or Cold-Blooded Murder? Ondo Govt Launches Urgent Inquest
In a dramatic turn of events, the Ondo State Government has ordered a full coroner’s inquest into the mysterious death of Ezekiel Adeniran, Registrar of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo. Initially reported as a suicide, new revelations suggest a far more sinister plot.
Adeniran was found dead in his home on July 17, sparking immediate controversy. While early reports claimed he ingested poison following a damning White Paper recommending his dismissal, his family insists he was forced to drink the substance by unknown assailants.
The Ondo State Attorney General, Olukayode Ajulo, has formally requested the Chief Judge, Olusegun Odusola, to assign a coroner to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. Ajulo emphasized the need for transparency and justice, citing “questionable circumstances” and the public’s right to know the truth.
Acting swiftly, Chief Magistrate Dickson Ogunfuyi has been appointed to lead the inquiry under the Coroners Law of Ondo State.
Police investigations have added fuel to the fire. According to Police PRO Olayinka Ayanlade, the case is now being treated as a suspected assassination. “Two men reportedly emerged from the bush and forced a substance into the victim’s mouth,” Ayanlade revealed, urging anyone with information to come forward.
This shocking development has left the academic community and the public reeling, as the search for answers intensifies.
