Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital to Pay Certain Percentage of January Salary

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi has raised alarm on a shortfall in January 2016 Subvention for non-regular staff.
 
In a memo dated 8th February 2016 with Ref Number ATBUTH/ADM/126 sent in to Medicalworld Nigeria, the management informed the hospital community and the general public that it had a shortfall in the subvention it received for the month of January 2016 in respect of personnel emolument for non regular staff in the hospital. According to the management, this situation is not peculiar to this hospital alone.
 
The memo further reads: Consultations with the relevant agencies of the federal government indicate that the matter is being addressed with a view to solving it very soon.
 
As a result of the shortfall, the management can only Pay a Certain Percentage of January 2016 Salary and allowances to the members of staff concerned. The balance of the payment will be made as soon as the federal government releases the necessary funds to the Hospital.
 
The management is deeply concerned with this situation and solicits the cooperation and understanding of all and sundry please.
