The Edo University Iyamho, Etsako West LGA, Edo State, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill Academic Staff vacancies In the Institution.

A. ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS
a Professors. Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers. Lectureri and Lecturer II in the following
 
College/Faculties/Departments oi the University,
* College of Medical Sciences
* Dept of Physiology
* Dept of Morbid Anatomy
* Dept oiChemicaI Pathology
* Dept of Haematology
* Dept of Medical Microbiology
* Dept of Pharmacology
* Dept of Community Medicine
* Family Medicine
* Dept of Nursing
 
(i) Professor
Candidates should possess a PhD degree in the discipline applied for from a recognised University with at least ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a University. with at least two (2) years as an Associate Professor. Candidates must possess scholarly publications in both local and international journals as proof of specialisation in core areas of departmental fields of study. Where necessary Membership of Professional bodies where required. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience. For the positions in the College of Medical Sciences. the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or the Fellowship of the WestAfrican College of Physicians or Surgeons is mandatory.
 
(ii) Associate Professor
As in (i) above. but with eight (8) years teaching and research experience in a University. with at least two (2) years as a Senior Lecturer. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
 
(iii) Senior Lecturer
As in (i) above. but with five (5) years teaching and research experience in a University. with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer l. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
 
(iv) Lecturer I
Candidates should possess a Ph.D degree in the discipline applied for from a recognised University with at least three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer it in a University or comparable institution of higher Ieaming. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals is also required. Candidate should have been a Lecturer II for a minimum of three (3) years.
 
(v) Lecturer ll
Candidates should possess a Ph.D degree in the discipline applied for from a recognised University.
Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.
 
For the positions in the College of Medical Sciences. the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) or the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians or Surgeons is mandatory. Candidates for Academic positions in the Department of Nursing must be registrable with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and hold Ph. D. in Nursing Science.
Candidates for academic positions in basic medical sciences or clinical sciences. must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. The College of Medical Sciences will accept the M8288 degree plus a registration for an M.Sc degree in the relevant discipline.
Computer literacy and ability to teach using Multimedia technology is mandatory.
 
C. SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES:
Salaries and allowances are as obtainable in Nigerian Public Universities.
