Barely five days after the death of Dr David Akintayo Oguntuase in an inferno believed to be the handiwork of suspected hired assassins, another doctor from Federal Medical Centre, Owo escaped death by the whiskers after gunmen attacked him in his house in Akure, the Ondo State capital Tuesday.
Dr Muyiwa Alonge, who worked with the FMC Owo, like the late Dr. Oguntuase, narrowly escaped death in the early hours of Tuesday after gunmen broke into his home in Aule, in the Akure metropolis.
Incidentally, Dr. Alonge and Dr. Oguntuase were on the list of persons who were accused of threatening the life of the Medical Director of FMC, Dr. Olufemi Omotoso.

Longe told repoters that the attackers broke through his door violently brandishing dangerous weapons and threatened to kill him.
