The Association of Resident Doctors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have commended the FCT Administration for the introduction of the highest numbers of promotional examination for doctors.
President of the FCT Chapter of the Association, Dr. Isaac Akerele, said in the history of promotional examinations, they got the highest numbers recently because the government yielded to their plea.
“We did the largest of its kind promotion exercise after we appealed to the FCT Administration, the FCT Permanent Secretary especially, many doctors have been stagnant for seven years. He listened to our appeal.”
The association which presented an award to the FCT Permanent Secretary, Engineer John Chukwu for his leadership skills also added that hospitals in the territory have been refurbished.
The Permanent Secretary, Engr. John Chukwu thanked the doctors and assure them of more cooperation from the government.
