Chairman of Nurses and Midwives Association of Nigeria, NMWAN, Ebonyi State chapter, Mr Nnachi Michael, has restated the preparedness of his administration to wipe out quackery and fight other related problems facing health sector in the state.
Nnachi said this in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, while briefing journalists in his office.
He lamented activities of quacks especially in Ebonyi State, which he said has increased health-related problems the people are facing.

He also decried the unseriousness of the Federal Government to respond to health workers’ demands; calling on the government to provide standard equipment in hospitals across the country to enable health personnel deliver effective healthcare services to the people especially in rural areas.
He said health institutions in the country have been partially paralysed due to delay by the government to respond to the demand of health workers.
Nnachi called on the Presidency and governors to prioritise the health needs of the people that voted them into power.
He hinted that if government refuses to respond to the request of the union, the lingering strike may continue for a very long time.
