The Governing Board of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, MLSCN, has re-appointed Prof.Anthony Emeribe as Registrar/CEO for a second term of four years.
In a statement in Abuja, the board said its decision was predicated on the laudable contributions of the Registrar towards transforming and repositioning the agency during his first term and also in line with the provisions of Cap M25, LFN 2004.
From relative obscurity, MLSCN uder the Emeribe's leadership has not only articulated and pursued a far-reaching vision, but has grown into a major regulatory body wit various international collaborations.
Some of its strategic partners include Centres for Disease Control (CDC), African Socity for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) and so on.
Only recently, International Laboratory Accreditation Ooperation (ILAC) admitted the agency into its membership

Reacting to the news of his re-appointment, Emeribe thanked the board for the confidence reposed in him, promising to redouble efforts towards the successful realization of the Council's mandate.
He said whatever the MLSCN achieved during his first tearm was as a result of term was as a result of teamwork.
He, therefore, Paid thribute to the Management and staff of the agency without whose support and sacrifice, he noted, not much could have been accomplished.
Also acknowledging the positive impact of the board as well as Mr President's Transformation Agenda in the health sector on the activities of the agency, he reiterated that the reward for hard work is more work.
"Obviously, we are gratified by the development and applaud the board's decision.
