Enugu Deputy Gov Tasks Nurses On Clinical

The Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, has charged nurses to show excellent commitment to their duties and to uphold their ethical principles of practice for the sustenance of a sound and healthy society.   
 
She spoke, on Thursday, in Enugu, during the opening ceremony of the 15th Annual General Meeting of heads of nursing schools in federal health institutions in the state.   
 
Ezeilo, who was also the special guest of honour at the occasion noted that nursing was a major player in healthcare delivery and that nurses constitute the largest segment of healthcare providers.   
 
She stated that the health sector was a major issue of concern to any government and that Enugu State government would not relent in giving unalloyed support to the sector.
 
 
She praised the body of heads of nursing services departments and principals of nursing school for their response to issues affecting the welfare of humanity, urging them to work to achieve more effectiveness in their clinical services.
 
She enjoined the participants to take the conference seriously, adding that it was a good fround for fruitful deliberation on clinical excellence.
