The inmates of the Federal Prisons, Ado Ekiti and civil servants at the Ekiti State Secretariat on Wednesday benefited from the Free Health Mission of the Governor Kayode Fayemi administration.

The team of the Free Health Mission, known as ‘Ulera Ekiti,’ led by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Folake Olomojobi, administered treatment to the prison inmates suffering from hypertension, diabetes, malaria, HIV/AIDS, eye and dental ailments.

Olomojobi said, “Governor Fayemi mandated that the prison inmates should also enjoy the benefits of the scheme because they are equally parts of the state and should not be left out of the Ulera Ekiti scheme.”

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Chapter of Prison Fellowship of Nigeria, Gabriel Kolawole, expressed appreciation to the government and also described the gesture of the governor as godly.

At the Ekiti State Secretariat where civil servants were also treated free, Olomojobi described the turnout of civil servants as massive and impressive, saying the present government accorded the welfare of workers a high priority.

Some civil servants, who benefited from the Ulera Ekiti scheme urged the governor to make the exercise a regular one to ensure a better service delivery.
