To ensure closer relationship with medical social workers in order to improve healthcare delivery services across the country, the minister of State for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire has said that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is favourably disposed to partnering with them.
The minister said this when he received the leadership of the Association of Medical Social Workers of Nigeria (AMSWON) led by the association’s national president, Abubakar Alhassan Bichi in his office in Abuja.
Dr Ehanire further stated government’s emphasis as far as access to quality healthcare is concerned, the ordinary Nigerian is at the heart of its policies as such, medical social workers will be playing vital roles in that direction while also directing that the association to draw up recommendations to advising government on the way forward in that respect.
