STRIKE ACTION BY A GROUP OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS KNOWN AS NATIONAL UNION OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (NUAHP)
It has come to the notice of the federal ministry of health that a group of health workers known as the national union of allied health professionals (NUAHP) has called for strike action by members for the very reasons that the ministry has been in negotiation with the joint health sector union (JOHESU) which is the recognized union of other health professionals in federal tertiary hospitals.
JOHESU has completely dissociated itself form this group and the federal ministry of health does not recognize the group. The strike is therefore illegal.
All staff must be notified that those participating in the strike wil not be paid for the period of the strike.

In situations where such salaries have been paid in error, the chief executive should communicate the natmes of such officers to the accountant general of the federation for those hospitals that have migrated on the IPPIS platform in order for such funds to be deducted from subsequent salaries
For as long as teh strike is on, the accountant general of the federation should be notified so that subsequent salaries are not paid until they start working.
All chief executives should commence the process of disciplinary action against affected staff because they embarked on an illegal strike action.
