The federal government has been called upon to embark on proactive advocacy to sensitize the public on the scourge of cancer disease in the country.
A Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr Moses Fache made the call while chatting with journalists shortly after a sensitization campaign on cancer, organized by Centagon International School in Abuja.
Dr Moses who is the Head of Reproductive Unit of Nisa Premier Hospital Abuja said that poor education was the bane of cancer spread. According to him, lack of public awareness was one of the major factors that hindered people to fight against cancer disease.
He however insisted that education was the key that would make people to know about the disease and fight against it.
