First Lady Declares Open 2016 Conference of Association of Lady Pharmacists

First lady of Lagos State Mrs Bolanle Ambode has declared opened the 2016 biennial national conference of the association of lady pharmacist (ALPS) tagged Eko 2016 with the Theme the lady pharmacist in strategic National development. 
 
The event which attracted various professional female pharmacists across the country was held last week at the prestigious Airport hotel, Lagos. In a paper titled: The Lady Pharmacist in Strategic National Development, by the first lady, Mrs Bolanle Ambode represented by the wife of the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mrs Arinola Oluwo stated that she is highly impressed with the association community outreach programs which include sensitization on health issues like screening for certain cancer especially those that affected women, HIV, Hepatitis and other diseases. 
 
Other sensitive programs the association has embarked on includes creating awareness and training in areas such as public health education, career counseling, Drug Abuse, Education and organizing moral campaigns for student. Speaking with news men, Olowo stated that its gives her joy and enthusiasm that women are excelling in professions that are highly specialized and considered complex which pharmacy is one of such field adding that Lagos state Government will do everything possible to support the Association “because I can see women excelling”, Oluwo stated. 
 
According to the National President of Association of lady Pharmacists (ALPS) Hadjia Zainab Sherif express her profound gratitude to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Bonlale Ambode for her tremendous support towards achieving the association goals as she seek to continue to enjoy more of her support.
