The Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON) Kaduna State Chapter has called on the state government to boost its budgetary allocations for family planning programmes, saying that such moves will improve healthcare in the state.

Speaking in Kaduna at a family planning budget requisition meeting organized by HERFON with support from Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health (PACFaH), the Kaduna State Chairman of HERFON, Malam Lawal Abubakar, said they will support the state and develop a sound and family planning budget requisition memo.

He commended the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai for the release of N180 Million as its counterpart funds for routine immunization and for his efforts in the transformation and signing of Primary Health Care (PHC) under one roof bill.
