When Daily Times visited the hospital, there was reduced activities of workers as the only workers on duties were medical doctors.

When contacted, Chairman, Senior Staff Association of University Teaching Hospitals (SSAUTH), Mr Afolabi Abiodun, disclosed that the health workers at the hospital were going through hard times due to the non-payment of their four months salaries. Afolabi who lamented lack of pension scheme for the health workers, said the industrial action would go on as long as their demands remained unmet.

He appealed to the general public who would be mostly affected to bear with them in the course of fighting for their rights
