Elders’ Forum of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Kaduna State Council, has cautioned health workers to refrain from embarking on what it called unnecessary strikes, saying the development is inimical to the profession.
The forum, which is the first of its kind in the state, consists of medical and health veterans in Kaduna State, who have served MHWUN in various capacities both at the state and federal level.

Chairman of the forum, Comrade Danbala Dogo, a two-time chairman of the state union and the immediate past national publicity secretary, said the forum will not only help to boost activities of the union, but will also contribute to the growth of the health sector.
In his remarks, the Kaduna State Chairman of MHWUN, Comrade Emmanuel A. Wudiri, said the reason he established the forum is because he still has confidence in both their medical experience and unionism.
He said some of them served for over 30 years in different capacities and that though they have retired, they are not tired.
